Wendy Mosgrove, owner of Best Yoga, brings a lifetime of movement expertise and heartfelt dedication to her studio. Originally from Hartford, CT, Wendy began her career as a professional ballerina before moving to San Francisco, where she trained as a workout instructor under the legendary Academy Award-winning actress and fitness icon Jane Fonda in 1981. Sixteen years ago, a friend introduced her to a Bikram Yoga studio in San Jose--a decision that would change her life. At the time, Wendy was struggling with insomnia, managing depression with medication, and coping with restricted neck movement from a car accident. Remarkably, after just ten days of hot yoga, she was sleeping soundly, no longer needed medication, and regained full mobility.
βI knew it was going to change my life,β Wendy recalls. Inspired by her own transformation, she trained as a Bikram Yoga instructor and opened her first studio in Morgan Hill in 2011. βItβs the same 26 postures in a set sequence, but every class is unique because you are never the same,β she explains. βThe practice invites you to go deeper, both physically and mentally, every time you step on the mat.β Wendy opened the Gilroy studio in 2015, continuing her mission after closing the Morgan Hill location in 2019. As an independent, woman-owned and operated studio, Best Yoga is proud to welcome students to a safe, clean space for hot yoga and Pilates where every breath and every pose brings you closer to your true self and a balanced, vibrant life.
